With sunken eyes,

your voice strangled and shaky,

ask me to leave you behind.

Move on beyond the memory of

what you and I had,

and could own.

And shake my head,

I chuckle along to the music

yet my sigh echoes when you are gone.

Nodding to the music, festering

in a despair I can't shake.

Chasing my pleasure,

I find under nightly sweet stars

the gaze of a man holding no fear.

Polished leather boots,

dig into shoulders and sweat glistens.

Burning cigarettes nestle deep

into ivory skin, pale with pain.

I leave behind all memories

and continue to gasp.

Remain so sweet,

I stare into other lovers eyes

uncover hidden oceans of calm.

Softly trace light fingers along my neck

massaging old marks,

marking to bite again.

Canines tear apart skin,

blood red leaks, moan and hiss

as arousal bleeds into love.

Evening dances by,

waltzing with midnight as they blur,

blur with me, lover gently whispers.

Leading onto the bed, holding on

as I am pushed further down.

I arch with the wrong name

dripping from my unfaithful tongue.

Whimper so softly,

in sweet voice of rose gold,

nuzzled into my shoulder.

Tales of abandonment ache

into your roots,

brush away the distance.

Nodding to your cries, you gaze up

so trusting in ignorance.

I find no passion to comfort,

my eyes remain firmly

on the star in the night.
